Chapter 22(June), p. 158 - 160


The twenty-second chapter is written from June's perspective. Thomas shooted Day’s mother and now Day stops hiding. He comes down from a roof and tries to get to his mother.

But the Commander does one more thing that really shocks June. He shoots in Day’s leg.

She can't believe, what happened and is even more shocked about Thomas, who seems happy and considers the killing of an innocent person as an unimportant means for the purpose.

She tries to tell herself that Day killed Metias and that makes the acts acceptable, but it kreps feeling wrong, when she tells Thomas that she is happy that Day has get catched.
